Striking.

Daring.

Bold, Blue, and Beautiful. The most fitting name for this show-stopping kitchen located in Hauppauge, NY.

But this kitchen wasn’t always this exquisite. Originally the kitchen was your typical builder’s grade kitchen, basic and boring. The existing kitchen was uninspiring and due to its lacking appeal, the homeowners were seeking something more, they wanted a “wow” factor and they wanted it to venture away from your typical classic white kitchen.

To achieve their wow factor dream kitchen, the homeowners hired the Design Team at Artistic Cabinetry in Smithtown, NY for their kitchen remodel project.

When asked where their inspiration came from for the kitchen’s beautiful, bold, blue hue, the Design Team replied, “We had freedom to play with unusual combinations of materials as the customer wanted to push the envelope. The Personal Paint Match option from Dura Supreme Cabinetry allowed us to offer this customer the exact blue desired, in this case, Sherwin Williams “Loyal Blue” SW 6510, which paired impeccably with the selected Cambria Bentley Quartz countertops and stainless steel KitchenAid appliances.

Once the finishes were selected, the design process was simple and straightforward. The layout of the home was a wide open floor plan with high ceilings that allowed the Design Team to incorporate stacked upper wall cabinets with glass doors, flush inset installed appliances and a large size island with decorative panels and square turned posts that mimicked the look of a table. The final touches were hand selected detailed furniture base moldings and top crown molding trims that all coordinated together to achieve this stunning Transitional Kitchen.   Due to the very high ceiling height, 18’ to be exact, incorporating lighting into the kitchen design was quite a challenge. “Pendant lights were not practical for this design, so task lighting helped create a pop highlighting the dramatic back splash tile and lighting the interiors of the glass door cabinetry.”

After the project was completed the homeowners expressed that the finished product looked even better than what they could have ever imaged. “The simplicity of the clean lines and the daring coordination of the blue cabinetry with the dramatic backsplash and the Cambria Bentely Quartz countertops proves that taking chances with color can really turn into something amazing” replied the Design Team at Artistic Cabinetry and I would have to say that I completely agree.
